Sea Point Library Garden
The Colin Eglin Sea Point Library Garden (corner of Three Anchor Bay Rd & Main Road in Sea Point) is a volunteer-driven gardening project on the grounds of the library.
It was started in June 2019 by a local resident, with support from the head librarian. The focus has been on weeding and pruning existing greenery, adding new plants and landscaping elements, beautifying existing structures, and introducing more child friendly features.
During the 2020 lockdown, an edible garden experiment was added, with the aim of growing fruit and veg to share with the community and creating garden-based learning experiences for kids.
